Will more cases pop up and just pile on?
Wouldn't it be cool if a lot of accusations and proof starting coming out against Tony Morris, that he was involved in several cases of sexual abuse, sort of like Bil Cosby.
That would do it!

Is the two-witness rule really unreasonable?
by stillin ini'm picturing a situation in which a savvy 12 year old doesn't like the house rules that mom's new husband has put into place.
or something along that line.
i can certainly agree that protection of children is paramount, but who protects the real victim in those cases?

The New Testament makes it very clear that Gentile Christians are NOT obligated to observe the Mosaic Law or meet any of its demands as a requisite for salvation. They are just a bunch of idiots. I just didn't know how idiotic they were, especially since they don't really want to put forth the effort to learn what the Bible really teaches.

If the leadership is just out to take some type of advantage of the followers, the leadership will exit at the first sign of trouble. It is clear that they are not doing that, and that is a sign they are lost in their own web.
The leadership is not backing down, more than likely they will start printing study articles explaining this as an attack by Satan and his hordes. They will probably encourage the rank and file that in order to be approved by Jehovah in the great universal issue of Universal Sovereignty, they must be willing to go to prison or even accept death to make it into the paradise earth.

When ideologies began to spin out of control—and they all do, because they are not only destructive to the world around them, they are self-destructive—more than a few members begin to act like they did in Jonestown before that mass murder/suicide at the Guyana commune in 1978.Caleb, do you think that the WT is heading in that direction? Especially with all the news coming out.

Did the Governing Body sucessfully fend off this bad news on thier TV Broadcast??
by Wasanelder Once inremember there was a talk about not listening to "false stories" about sexual abuse from apostates on jw's fantasy station?
did the governing body put it out there as preemptive damage control because they knew this was coming?
they must have had subpoenas giving them a heads up.

Just the simple act of sitting through ONE day of one of those KM schools for elders was horrendous!!! Insult is added to injury with the realization that the whole thing is one colossal waste of time.
My last KM School that I attended, I was assigned to sit between two brothers who were about 350lbs each and about 5' 6" tall. All day long! I won't go into detail of all the sounds and smells I had to put up with.
It was my last KM school.

It's not persecution, it's accountability
by Splash inwell i was loathe to start a new thread on the australian royal commission, but i've been reading in thread after thread how jw's are trying to dismiss what's happening with "it's persecution".. if anyone says this to you, just respond "it's not persecution, it's accountability.
they are being called to explain their procedures, and nothing more.".
persecution is hostility against someones religion.this is not against the jw religion, it's against procedures that jw's champion as being 'the best in the world' when in reality, and with a little analysis are proving to be among the most harmful.

The Children who were sexually abused were persecuted. They were forced to confront the abuser who was declared innocent because there was no- two witnesses.
